“HUSSAAH!” – Those who’ve seen them live know it; everyone else is bound to love it. That’s how the four guys from May The Tempest – Lucci (Shouts), Jonas (Guitar & Clean Vocals), Andi (Guitar), Patrick (Drums), and Roley (Bass) – psych themselves up before every show: hands stacked together, a unified shout, pure anticipation. You can’t get more fired up than that!

What do you hold on to when the core of everything you believed in starts to decay? “you killed the part of yourself that makes life worth living” tries to explore exactly that – the silence of watching someone extinguish their own light while you’re desperately trying to keep yours alive. Heartbreak turns into sorrow, and sorrow into defiance. We wrote it as a promise: no matter how dark it gets, we’ll keep shining through the night.

With their latest singles “Olympus” (June 12, 2025) and “you killed the part of yourself that makes life worth living” (October 23, 2025), May The Tempest offer a glimpse into the band’s dark yet hopeful inner world – raw, emotional, and unapologetically honest.

Herzschmerz verwandelt sich in Traurigkeit, und Traurigkeit in Trotz. Wir haben es als ein Versprechen geschrieben: Egal, wie dunkel es wird – wir werden weiter durch die Nacht leuchten.
